Our Story

Noah’s Ark Nursery Schools was first started in 1986 by Sarah Chandor in her home in Gayville Road. As numbers expanded and outgrew the space available, Sarah set up a number of Noah’s Ark nurseries in local church halls, including Cobham Close and Westside, which still operate today. In 2001, when Sarah married and moved to Canada, the nurseries came under the umbrella of Dolphin School. Sarah was particularly keen to ensure the nurseries continued to have an underlying Christian ethos and was confident that the Dolphin School Trust would continue to support this core value in her original vision for the nurseries. Over time the nurseries have needed to adapt and change to the needs of the community in which they operate. We are confident that with our strong focus on relationship and nurture, and giving our young children a loving and secure start to their school life, that the nurseries will continue to thrive and flourish.
