Noah’s Ark Westside

We have had a busy start to our Summer Term with lots of exciting activities. The children were very excited to meet our caterpillars and watch them form into chrysalis. We have yet to see the butterflies emerge and all are extremely excited! Some of the children painted butterflies while investigating different patterns; there were some beautiful designs created.

Following on from this we took part in different shape and pattern activities, including a sweetie colour science experiment, shape collages and buildings. Some of the younger children embarked on a pattern hunt around the nursery, using magnifying glasses to find and match different patterns. There was extreme delight each time they found a new pattern and matched it to the hunt sheet!

Baking chocolate chip cookies has been a well anticipated activity! The children listened beautifully as they followed the recipe instructions, watched the scales, poured the ingredients and moulded their cookie shapes. It is safe to say they will disappear quickly!
